Celery
Apium
graveolens. Seldery. Year round. All-purpose herb used in home
cuisine and as a healing herb.
Celery is an aromatic biennial. It grows 30-90 cm high, bright green leaves and
grooved stalks, greenish white flowers.
Celery prefer sun or partial shade, rich, moist soil, does best in a sheltered
position.
Parts used: stems and leaves
Medicinal uses: Good for gout and high blood pressure
Culinary uses: salads, cream cheese, soups and stews. Also used as
a salt substitute in a salt-free diet. |
