Summer annual, deep purple leaves and pink flowers, grows 20 – 60
cm high, can also be used in mixed borders and pots.
Full or morning sun, well drained, moist, medium rich soil, water
regularly.

Culinary uses: adds colour and
zest to salads and vegetables.
